Welcome to Trippin. By using the Trippin mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Trippin is a collaborative trip planning application that helps friend groups coordinate travel dates, destinations, budgets, itineraries, expenses, bookings, and more. The App includes features such as Sync Shot (simultaneous group photo capture), Vibe Check (group preference polling), Quests, AI-powered planning tools, Trip Recap, and an Activity Feed. The App is available on iOS and Android.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use Trippin. At signup we require your date of birth to verify this; the database enforces the minimum age. Providing false information about your age is a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
You retain ownership of all content you create in Trippin, including trip details, photos, itineraries, expenses, and quest submissions. By using the App, you grant Trippin a limited license to store, display, and share your content with other members of your trip groups as necessary to provide the service.
Trip Recap summaries generated from your trip data may include a "Made with Trippin" watermark on the free tier. This watermark is removed for PRO users.

Trippin offers a generous free tier alongside premium options:
PRO access (via subscription or one-time purchase) unlocks additional features including but not limited to: unlimited Vibe Checks, unlimited Sync Shots, watermark-free Trip Recap, Ghost Detector, AI Quest Generation, AI Packing suggestions, AI Conflict Resolver, AI Destination suggestions (unlimited), currency conversion for expenses, custom and selective expense splits, and unlimited active trips. The specific features included in PRO may change over time.
Trippin uses artificial intelligence to provide itinerary suggestions, destination recommendations, packing list suggestions, sidequest generation, availability conflict analysis, and Vibe Check synthesis. All AI processing occurs on our servers — your device never communicates directly with third-party AI providers. Only trip-level context is sent to the AI model. These features are subject to usage limits (rate limiting) and may be temporarily disabled for maintenance or abuse prevention. AI-generated content is provided "as-is" and we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content. Always verify important travel information independently.

Trippin is not responsible for the services, quality, or terms provided by these third-party booking partners. Any bookings you make are governed by the respective partner's terms of service and refund policies.
Trippin provides currency conversion for expense tracking using exchange rates sourced from the European Central Bank via the Frankfurter API. Exchange rates are indicative and may not reflect real-time market rates. Trippin does not guarantee the accuracy of converted amounts and is not responsible for any discrepancies. Currency conversion is a premium feature.
Trippin uses a Smart Nudge system that sends notifications to encourage group participation in trip planning decisions (e.g., submitting availability, voting on destinations, setting budgets). Nudges may use social proof, deadline awareness, and participation data to craft relevant messages. Smart Nudges are available on both the free and PRO tiers. You can manage your notification preferences and mute specific trips within the app.
Trippin offers a Vibe Check feature that allows trip organizers to poll their group on preferences such as budget range, activity types, accommodation style, and more. Your responses are displayed anonymously to other members of the same trip group — no member can see who submitted which response. Responses are stored linked to your account for AI synthesis and duplicate prevention. Free users can participate in 1 Vibe Check of each type per trip; PRO users have unlimited Vibe Checks.
Trippin provides tools to track and split expenses among group members. Free users can split expenses equally; PRO users can use custom and selective splits. Trippin is not a financial service and does not process actual money transfers between users. Settlement amounts shown in the App are suggestions only. Users are responsible for settling debts directly with each other.
Settlement undo: If you record a settlement payment by mistake, you can undo it by long-pressing the entry within 48 hours of recording. After 48 hours the entry is locked to protect everyone’s books from retroactive changes. Contact trippintravel@outlook.com if you need help with an older entry.
Trippin provides tools to report inappropriate content and block other users directly inside the App. When you submit a report, the content type, reason, and optional description are stored. The reporting flow is implemented as follows:
For takedown requests outside the App (copyright, doxxing, child sexual abuse material, threats of violence, defamation, etc.), email trippintravel@outlook.com with the subject line “Abuse report”. Suspected child sexual abuse material is reported to law enforcement (BKA in Germany, NCMEC in the US) without prior notice to the uploader.
Prohibited content includes: child sexual abuse material; non-consensual intimate imagery; doxxing or stalking material; hate speech targeting protected groups; threats of violence; impersonation; spam and unsolicited advertising; copyrighted material you don’t have rights to; content that violates German criminal law (StGB).
Your use of Trippin is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
The Trippin name, logo, design, and all related intellectual property are owned by Trippin. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.
Trippin is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. We may also restrict access to specific features (such as AI-powered tools) if abuse or excessive usage is detected. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from the Profile screen in the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of Trippin after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Right of withdrawal for consumers in the European Union
You have the right to withdraw from any contract concluded through the App within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from the contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g., a letter sent by post or email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal: If you withdraw from the contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from the contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
Important note regarding in-app purchases: For subscriptions and one-time purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, refunds are processed by Apple or Google respectively, according to their refund policies. To request a refund, contact Apple or Google through their respective support channels (Settings → Apple ID → Purchase History on iOS, or play.google.com/store/account on Android).
Exception — loss of right of withdrawal for digital content: In accordance with § 356(5) BGB, you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the performance of digital content (such as AI-generated itineraries, packing suggestions, or quest content) has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. By initiating the use of premium digital features, you expressly consent to the immediate provision of digital content and acknowledge the loss of your right of withdrawal for that specific content.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Germany.
